MARI FELIPE

I live as an uninvited guest on the unceded territories of the xʷməθəy̓əm (Musqueam), Swwú7mesh (Squamish), and Seíwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, also known as Vancouver, BC.

My mission is to facilitate any process of transformation: from conflict to resolution, from feeling stuck to seeing a greater range of possibilities, from any situation that might make you look for therapy where the result can be an increase in: sense of aliveness, grounding, self-expression and resilience.

I believe we all have the capacity to change within ourselves and arts-based healing approaches can provide safe, trauma-informed and intuitive ways to move through these transitions to individuals and communities.

I myself enjoy using poetry and multimedia art as a form of expression and believe art is a powerful tool in the efforts of bringing society to a better balance by empowering and giving voice to minorities, fighting stigma and allowing different realities to be imagined.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Besides my private practice, I have been working as a trauma therapist at a non-profit organization supporting children, youth, and families dealing with the impacts of traumatic experiences of all kinds.

I also work as an Expressive Arts therapist supporting youth dealing with concurrent disorders and in other setups providing psychoeducational or therapeutic group facilitation.

I have experience working with people from all walks of life. My lived experience gives me tools and eagerness to work with folks that identify as migrant, BIPOC, neurodivergent, or belonging to marginalized and unprivileged communities.
